Today I'm wearing...
OPI's My Private Jet. It's a shimmery dark brown / bronze base with a heavy dusting of holographic micro glitter in it. Holographic means that when the silver glitter catches direct light, it reflects a full rainbow spectrum of colors. The description sounds strange, but the result is beautiful. It reminds me of Military, which I really loved. Military, though, is a matte polish, which are notorious for being chip prone. Because MPJ has far superior wear, I think it will supplant Military on my Top 10 list.
Application: I'm wearing two coats above
Top Coat: One coat of Seche Vite
Where to Find: It's part of the 2007 Night Brights collection. MPJ is a treasured color in the nail polish community, but there's "controversy" with it because it has changed a few times over the years. Supposedly, the base color has become less black and the glitter has become less holographic. Irrespective of any changes, I love the current color.

ReplyDeleteI love this one! my mum wears it to. I bought it to match my grade 8 grad dress and we've loved it ever since:) it's our second bottle, the first one broke on the way out the door to grad :P
ReplyDeleteAnd wow the prices folks will pay to get the original holo version of this is getting to be amazing. I watch them going for $75/bottle on eBay now days. If I really want a holo I won't ever look to OPI for it but to Zoya and a few other brands. I, like you, am just fine with the newer versions of this shade.
ReplyDeleteI was searching for images on google for this polish, and clicked on your because i thought that those were my fingers!~ your hands/fingers/finger nails look exactly like mine! lol when i look at yours, I think they are the prettiest nails I have ever seen. it's funny because when i look at mine i wish they looked different. i guess subconsciously i love my nails, lol~ i guess the grass is always greener
