Deborah Lippmann: Good Girl Gone Bad

Today I'm wearing...

Deborah Lippmann's Good Girl Gone Bad, a red wine / cranberry base with delicate magenta shimmer dusted throughout. In the picture, the shimmer really glows, but it's more delicate in real life- don't get me wrong, this baby still glows when it catches the light.

I love this interpretation of a "holiday" polish. Lots of winter collections feature literal interpretations of the winter holidays (well, really just Christmas): holly greens, Santa reds, snow man frosty whites, and tinsel glitters. Here, Lippmann has made a more oblique reference to the holidays; this reminds me of a warm velvety dress with some sparkle. As someone who doesn't celebrate Christmas, I appreciate this a lot!

Application: Like butter! Two coats is fine, but I added a third for more depth.

Top Coat: I used one coat of Poshe quick-dry top coat.

Where to find: Deborah Lippmann polishes are available at Barneys New York, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and online at these retailers, Zappos.com, BeautyBar.com or at www.deborahlippmann.com. For New Yorkers, it's also available at CO Bigelow on 6th avenue at W. 9th Street or at Windsor Pharmacy at 58th and 6th Ave. This one is part of the Winter 2011 collection and is available for $16.

  4. This one does look special- not like any other DL color. I personally like this micro glitter more than the chunky glitter she often does.

  7. Hi,
well, zappos and www.deborahlippmann.com only ship in the US and BeautyBar.com does ship internationally but I coudn't find Lippmann product on their site...
Life is so hard for nail polish fanatics living in Europe (and even worse, in Belgium) ;-)

  8. I have this shade on it's way...hope it gets here before I leave for surgery - though cannot decide what one bottle to take with me...anything more is silly as I know from the past I won't feel like doing even my toes over again until maybe week 4 when I should be headed home again.
