Last Minute Gift Ideas For Nail Art Lovers!

Entrance to Gaga's Workshop at Barney's in New York
Have any of you New Yorkers visited Gaga's Workshop at Barney's? It's near my office so I popped in for a visit. Much to my surprise there's a whole display of press-on nails from Kiss. They were designed by one of Gaga's nail artists, Naomi Yasuda, and, with the studs and metal pieces, look like some of the nails Gaga has sported recently.

There are a few designs for $45. My favorite below:

Here's my favorite collector one, for $225...extremely impractical and therefore, very Gaga!:
There are also two geometric stick-on Minx nail prints for $45 a set. My favorite of the two:
And finally, there's a Deborah Lippmann duo ($45) that I haven't heard anything about. It's called Edge of Glory - it's a blackened base and a flakey iridescent top coat. While they're calling it "3D Holographic", it's really just a highly reflective flakey top coat. It's VERY pretty, but $45 is steep. Here's a blog post that has a thorough write up.

Another idea for the nail art lover in your life is this book, Nailed: The history of nail culture and Dzine. According to its publisher, Standard Press, the publishing imprint of The Standard Hotels, it "recounts the history of nail adornment and documents contemporary nail art around the world." At $45, it can be purchased here or at the The Standard Hotel Shops in LA, NY, and Miami.

What did you get the nail lover in your life this year?
